DAKOTA Verde Beardtongue. Glossy green foliage with masses of tubular, lavender-violet flowers on dark stems adds dramatic color to mixed borders, hillsides, meadows, and naturalized gardens. This compact, sturdy and super hardy summer bloomer transitions to fall by showing off its dark seed heads and purple-tinged foliage. An herbaceous perennial.
