Nandina domestica ‘Seika Obsession’

Categories: Plants

The more desirable version of the well-liked dwarf Nandina “Gulf Stream” is called Obsession Nandina. Although it grows to an equivalent size, it has new red growth for most of the year. The Japanese name for this cultivar, “SEIKA,” which translates to “holy fire,” was given because of the colour of the new growth. Size: 6070 cm tall by 6070 cm wide. Low hedge, shrub, and feature uses. For the first 8 to 13 weeks, water as needed. Plant in a garden with lots of mulch. Use a slow-release fertiliser in the spring if necessary. If needed, prune every two to three years.
