A handsome deciduous tree that makes a fine specimen in the garden, notable for fine autumn tints.

Reaching around 5m tall by 4m wide at 10 years. Happy in full sun, though it tolerates some shade on most soils, and suits most soils from well-drained to damp and is drought-tolerant once established. Notable for green fruits. Fully hardy throughout the UK and a useful plant for bees.
