Amydrium medium ‘Silver’ is a climbing aroid that produces elongated, silvery-green leaves which develop increasingly deep fenestrations as the plant matures and ascends a support. Juvenile foliage is simple and lance-shaped, but give it a moss pole and the transformation is dramatic, with mature leaves becoming deeply pinnate and shimmering with a metallic silver overlay. It is a vigorous climber and a genuine collector plant.

Origins
Native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, Amydrium medium grows as a hemiepiphyte, starting on the forest floor before climbing into the canopy. The species is related to Monstera and Epipremnum and shares their climbing, fenestrating habit.

Soil and Substrate
Our Jungle Mix provides a peat-free, well-draining blend suited to this species. Water when the top 23 cm of substrate is dry. Bright, indirect light brings out the strongest silver colouring and encourages fenestration.
