Dating back to 1856 and once described as an Italian variety that is ‘filled with strawberry jelly’, this superbly flavoured fig produces fruits that are green tinted amber when ripe and filled with a strawberry-red pulp. Suited to fresh eating, drying and preserves. Self-fertile.
