Fire Chief Arborvitae

If you want reliable color and clean shape without a high-maintenance routine, Fire Chief Arborvitae delivers. This globe-shaped evergreen starts the season with bright gold spring foliage, then finishes with standout deep red fall color. Its a slow-growing, low maintenance sport of the popular Rheingold with deeper color and less tendency to split, making it a steady choice for everyday landscapes, containers, and tidy borders.

Get easy curb appeal that looks intentional

A naturally rounded, globe-shaped shrub gives your landscape a neat, designed look without constant shaping. Use Fire Chief to frame a walkway, anchor a corner, or soften the lines of your home. Because it holds a consistent, compact form, it helps your foundation plantings look more polished and well cared for with less effort.

Enjoy color that keeps your garden interesting in two key seasons

Fire Chief earns its place by changing the mood of your yard as the year moves along. The fine, bright gold foliage in spring brings a fresh, lively lift when you are ready for the garden to wake up. Then, in fall, the foliage turns a deep red, adding a rich, warm note when many spaces start to fade. You get seasonal interest that feels planned, even if you keep your planting simple.

Choose a low-stress evergreen that fits small spaces and containers

Slow growth and low maintenance make Fire Chief a practical pick for busy gardeners. Its also useful where space is limited, such as along low hedging lines, near patios, or in containers that need strong structure. As a sport of Rheingold that is less prone to splitting, it helps you feel confident that your planting will stay looking its best.
