Polyscias ming, the Ming Aralia, produces finely divided, feathery leaves in bright green, arranged in dense clusters along upright, woody stems. The overall effect is delicate and layered, with a natural bonsai-like quality that improves with age as the trunk thickens and the branching becomes more characterful. It is a slow grower that rewards patience, and its airy, architectural silhouette brings a sense of calm to any room it occupies.

Origins
Native to the tropical regions of India and Polynesia, Polyscias species grow as understorey shrubs and small trees in warm, humid forests. The Ming Aralia has been cultivated as an ornamental for centuries, prized for its fine foliage and upright habit.

Soil and Substrate
Our Simply Houseplant Tropical Potting Mix provides a well-draining, peat-free blend for this species.
