Prunus laur. ‘Genolia’ 150-175 cm.

Prunus laurocerasus ‘Genolia’ is a slender, upright cherry laurel selected for tight, columnar growth, making it ideal for narrow evergreen hedges and screens. Dense, glossy green foliage forms a year-round backdrop, and upright clusters of small white flowers appear in spring. It thrives in sun or shade and in most well-drained to moist soils, including clay and chalk. Expect an eventual height of about 34m with a natural spread around 0.81.5m when grown as a hedge, responding well to regular clipping to maintain a neat, spacesaving profile.

Feeding time: Early spring (MarchApril) Trimming time: Trim after flowering in late June; a light touch-up in late August if needed

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
