Bred in the USA in 1931 as a juicing fruit, their mild tartness has seen their improved popularity with chefs and garden gourmets. Best peeled like an orange, the thin membrane between the segments makes them popular for fresh easting also. Grafted on Carrizo Citrange rootstock.
