Popular throughout history where it adorns the facades of historic buildings, this fast-growing, self-adhesive climber provides seasonal interest as its foliage transforms from purple to green before becoming red and bronze in autumn. Deciduous when grown as a green wall it readily shades in summer, but allows brickwork to heat up again in winter when its needed most. Readily identified by the five rounded leaves that make up its compound leaf. This American native vine is undeniably easy to grow and can be used as a ground cover if needed.
